What you will be doing

As the Broker of Record on the Real Estate brokerage team, you will be:


  • Responsible for managing: a group of Real Estate Agents at Zolo. You’ll ensure and adhere to RECA and Board Compliance. Your influence will directly impact how Zolo clients, our Home Shoppers are serviced and supported by our team of licensed real estate professionals. Your guidance will stand out as the role model example for how we conduct our real estate business. You will monitor all transaction files for compliance and conveyancing. You’ll provide ongoing updates to agents regarding regulatory and operational changes. You will monitor agent activity and provide corrective action as required. You will be expected to be responsive and able to answer agent enquiries with sound judgment. Ongoing support will be expected to ensure compliance and end to end client satisfaction. You’ll work with manager and team leaders to solve agent problems, disputes and issues that may arise. While creating and nurturing our brand voice guidelines.
  • Partnering with executives and other stakeholders: of the business on policy and operations. Helping to support other functional departments including: Agent Acquisition, Agent Success and Agent & Client Experience with regards to recruitment, onboarding, and providing an exceptional agent experience throughout our agent’s journey with Zolo.
  • Supporting, managing and making a strong impact: on the real estate side of our business as we introduce exciting new ways for our agents to help serve our Home Shoppers and Canadians to find home.
  • Supporting and assisting the Agent Acquisition Team: throughout recruiting initiatives as we hire Zolo Agents and Partners across Alberta. You’ll help to identify areas requiring additional coverage and seek out suitable agents in core areas and partners where needed.
  • Act as a liaison: when it comes to communicating with outside agencies and suppliers. By being supportive, while working with and assisting internal departments to collaborate and work towards overall business initiatives. Along with assisting administrative and management functions internally and externally to Zolo Ventures as required.

About you


  • You are a tenured real estate manager and professional who understands the operations and inner workings of a productive, fast paced, results driven real estate brokerage. You have a track record of being efficient and are able tackle problems to find solutions.
  • You provide sound advice, your patient yet firm and you’re able to deliver your messages to others clearly in a respectful manner. You love policies and are able to stand by them and enjoy educating and supporting others in doing the same.
  • Your proven performance history outlines your success as a coach and leader for a top performing sales team. Because you also excel independently, you do not need a ton of direction. When you spot problems and opportunities you tackle them, seeing things through to completion.

Skills needed for success


  • 3+ years of professional experience with a background in real estate brokerage management
  • 3+ years of recent experience working within real estate brokerage operations and procedures.
  • Hold a valid Broker License in the province of Alberta is a requirement for this role.
  • You are experienced in all aspects of real estate brokerage operations.
  • You have a solid track record of managing and training a team of successful Real Estate Professionals will give you a leg up in this role.
  • As an experienced supervisor you have a minimum of 3 years management experience working in a diverse environment. As a strong leader, you have the ability to train associates to reach their business goals and to be successful in their trade.
