Hello Pets Inc. is a small business in North York, ON M2N 1M8. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to is to prevent and alleviate any fear, anxiety and stress in your pet’s experience at our grooming salon. Pet professionals play a critical role in creating a happier, healthier, fear-free environment for pets, but it is the owners choice that starts that process. Every single member of Hello Pets is an animal lover. They have been selected for their vast knowledge and experience, but it’s their love of animals that makes Hello Pets special. Our goal is to give our clients peace of mind knowing their pampered pets will be given top notch care. Hello Pets is based on the belief that our customers needs are of the utmost importance. We are committed to meeting those needs.
Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their dogs' care and behavior
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any issues to the pet owner
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both the dogs and yourself during walks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their needs
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may require assistance or support during walks
- Knowledge of basic pet grooming practices is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with kennel operations and procedures is a plus, but not required
Please note that this position requires flexibility in scheduling as dog walking may be needed during weekends, holidays, and inclement weather conditions.
