The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the facility is thoroughly cleaned daily and maintain a presentable office space. This incumbent will report directly to the maintenance manager. There are two shifts and the general hours of work will be 9PM – 5AM in the Halton Hills facility.
Shift 1 – Monday to Thursday
Shift 2 – Friday to Sunday
Job Duties
· Emptying garbage containers and replacing liners on a continual basis
· Sweeping all floor areas, including baseboards and dusting of fixtures, curtains and other high areas
· Ensuring office area, washrooms, corridors, entrance ways, are kept free of debris
· Keeping benches, tables and chairs throughout the office are clean and presentable
· Maintaining cleanliness of recycling containers, including replacing bags, and bringing all recycling materials to our recycling stations
· Maintaining cleanliness of elevators, stairs, windows, rails and other fixtures
· Immediately notifying management of any incidents of vandalism or equipment malfunctions
· Other duties as required
Qualifications
· Prior housekeeping experience is considered an asset
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Knowledge of WHMIS legislation
· The ability to work with minimal supervision
· Capability of standing and walking for extended periods of time during your shift
Job Type: Permanent
