Resident Assistant/ Resident Aide– Extendicare

This position is for our Port Hope, located in Port Hope.

What you’ll be doing
- Transport resident to onsite while practicing residents’ right to choose.
- Performing housekeeping tasks including disinfecting high touch surfaces.
- Assists with nutrition and feeding as well as additional resident personal hygiene tasks.
- Collaborates with residents, families and team members to maintain a positive, supportive and safe and respectful environment for all while demonstrating empathy, concern and interest in providing quality customer service.
- Participates in Quality Improvement activities and advocates for the resident/family individual needs and preferences.
What you bring
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Demonstrates experience and interest in working with a population of older adults
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
